Greetings from Terrace, B.C. Canada!
I hope you enjoy your visit. We are fortunate to have several mountains to hike up. Our hiking club has members from Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert. So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and view the pictures of treks to the tops of the mountains. Many Trails
A few good trail tips. Hiking poles save allot on your knees, especially when loaded down with a heavy pack. They can help you cross creeks, keep your balance over loose rock and make it easier when hiking up or down steep trails. One pole is good but I find two are much better, if you break or loose one then there is always a spare. I know my poles have saved me from several falls. Carry a towel on your pack, somewhere within reach, when hiking I sweat allot and it is nice to be able to wipe your face off. Keeps the grime off also. When buying a back pack try to get one that has a bladder system. This frees up your hands and you can avoid frequent stops, to take a water bottle out of your pack.
